What a fun week!

My mother in law came to show the kids how to collect quarters from different states! Students studied each coin and its symbols. They also put the quarter in the correct place on the United states map.

Our field trip was filled with fun agricultural stations for the students to explore!

Friday afternoon, students went on a multiplication egg hunt. The problem was written on one half of the egg and the product on the other. Each kid had 4 multiplication problems to solve (2 single digit, 1 double digit by single digit, 1 double digit by double digit). They had to solve their equations and go find the product side of the egg 🐣🐣

Then we enjoyed our MAP celebration party with Despicable Me 3 and our ice cream sundaes 🤗

Pollution Unit

This past week, we have made google slide presentations of the different kinds of pollution: water, land, and air pollution. We shared them today with each other!

Then we experimented with water pollution... what would happen if we needed to filter our water? What would we use? Kids experimented with different natural resources to see what filtered polluted water the best.

Dr. Seuss Day!

We started Dr. Seuss’s Birthday by dropping everything to get comfy and read for 30 minutes!

Next, we shared our Habitat projects with each other :)

Then, we had some NOHS football players come to our class and read! It was so sweet to watch my students look up to the high schoolers as role models... and for the high schoolers to feel important 👏🏻

We even shared our projects with them 🤗

Field Day Fun!

We are the third grade tug of war CHAMPIONS!! Mr. Austin (my husband) came to play! He didn’t know he would leave soaking wet 😂
